Bend is often cited as a dog-friendly town, and now it’s been included among the top destinations in the “2014 Best Cities For Dog Friendly Vacations” list by GoPetFriendly.com.
It’s true: Bend really does love dogs! Dogs in Bend can enjoy all you’d expect from a dog-friendly place, including: Off-leash dog parks, about a gazillion miles of dog-approved trails, pet-friendly hotels, and many doggy events (including the annual 4th of July Pet Parade and the Oktoberfest Wiener dog races).
Take Fido to your favorite Bend Brewery, where dogs are welcome (on-leash) at the following locations (on-leash outside dining/patio areas): 10 Barrel, Cascade Lakes Brewing Company, GoodLife Brewing, McMenamins Old St. Francis School, and Worthy Brewing.
Or, check out Crux Fermentation Project‘s off-leash grassy area right next to their patio! Play cornhole or throw the frisbee for your pooch while you enjoy the awesomeness that is Crux.
And, Bend wouldn’t be Bend without offering dogs their own brew — Dawg Grog (“a delicious and nutritious brew for your dog”).
Got an active dog that loves outdoor adventures? Check out RuffWear, a Bend based retailer that offers equipment and apparel designed for animals to enhance their (and your) recreational activities.
Let’s face it, dogs in Bend are pretty lucky! There’s not much you can’t do with your dog; they can join you to eat, drink, work, and play. No wonder Bend is fondly referred to as Dogtown USA!
