With the construction of two new schools in the Bend-La Pine school district, there comes some school boundary changes effective for the 2015-2016 school year.
Based on recommendations presented by the 30-member Boundary Review Committee, in addition to community input and online survey, Superintendent Ron Wilkinson recently announced new school boundaries for the 2015-16 school year. Wilkinson stated:
“Thanks to the work of this committee and the input of our community, we have a solution that balances enrollment at our schools and draws new boundary areas for the two schools that are currently under construction,” Superintendent Ron Wilkinson said. “Today, more than three-quarters of our Bend-area schools are near or over capacity – balancing enrollment helps to ensure that our students and staff have the learning environments that they deserve.”
